Recently, FRP was contracted to fabricate a custom above-ground suitable for Aluminum Sulphate for a city Water Treatment Plant.
The fiberglass tank was fabricated with an Isophthalic Resin System. Due to access constraints, the 8’ diameter tank had to be manufactured in two sections (each 8’ tall), to fit through the doorway and corridor leading to it’s install location.
Each section had a heavy duty flange, which was secured with gasketing and stainless steel bolts on site. After assembly, FRP sent a team to laminate the seam between the sections to ensure water-tightness.
